Costs
The tuition fees are generally £ 6000 - £ 8000 per year for first degrees.
For Postgraduate courses £ 7000 - £ 9000. Accommodation in London and other
major cities would be about £ 70/80 per week and in smaller towns or suburbs
about £ 50/60. In addition you must allow for food, travel, books, clothes and
other essentials. Altogether you shall have a budget of about £ 12000 - £ 15000
per year.
If you are married and planning to bring
your wife and children with you it will
be advisable to arrange accommodation in some residential area rather that in
the campus and in advance through relatives or friends. Some students find part time work to earn some money but you should not depend on such
earnings to pay your fees and fully support yourself in UK.
A small 2 bed roomed flat
would be around £ 150 per week.
In most universities there are Pakistani or Islamic Societies who organise
social activities including prayers and Halal food.
