Education Aid needs books, CDs and educational video films for developing countries. Our donors include libraries, publishers, booksellers, schools, universities, professional bodies, industry and individuals. Overstock, damaged, older editions and review copies are taken. Books are needed for all age group schools, undergraduate and graduate studies on various subjects.
For all our donors the following guidelines are provided.
- Textbooks, general interest subjects and fiction are needed.
- Books should not be older than 10 years. Exceptions in specific cases, please check.
- If possible, send us a list giving titles and years of publication and quantities.
- Books should not be torn, with students' markings or with pages missing.
- Encyclopedias, dictionaries and reference books are accepted.
- Newspapers, old directories, pamphlets, reports, sexual material and attic clearance is not required.
- Any material which is specific to UK, such as taxation and Govt. statistics is also not required by us.
- If you wish to send your books to an  institution or country of your own choice then we are sorry we can’t help you. You have to do it yourself.
- All material should be FIRMLY packed in cardboard boxes and sealed with tape. Mark each box as 'Education Aid'.
- Loose books in plastic bags or tied with strings are not accepted.
- Avoid using too large boxes so that they do not become too heavy to handle. Photo copy paper boxes A4/A3 size or similar may be used.
We will also appreciate if you can kindly help with the delivery of material, if possible. We are a small charity with limited resources.
