Child Sponsorship

Millions of children around the world are forced to engage in cheap labour instead of going to schools. Many villages, remote areas and urban slums are without any schools. There are many schools without a toilet, water and even without a roof. Little children have to sit on the bare ground under the open sky during the winter's freezing cold and summers severe heat. Thousands of helpless children and their poverty stricken parents cannot afford to provide them with basic education. Lots of children have no parents, money or a future.

The cost of education of a child is only Ł 3 a month. Sponsor a child for education and change his life and that of his whole generation.

Education Aid is currently supporting a child sponsorship programme in the villages of Pakistan. Many children in the age group 5-11 years are receiving primary education. One project known as Hamdard Village School is located within the campus of Hamdard University,

The project was founded by Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said and is now under the management of Hamdard Foundation, Pakistan. Education Aid provides financial support to the project.

situated at an hours drive from the city of Karachi. About 400 children belonging to 40 villages of Baluchistan are receiving education here.

In order to make regular payments please print and complete the sample Standing Order form and post the same to us. If you are a U.K taxpayer please print and complete the sample Gift Aid Declaration also. This shall enable us to collect additional amounts from the Inland Revenue at no extra cost to you.

Another project supported by Education Aid is in the villages of Sharqpur and Amirpure near Lahore. About one hundred children from these two villages and other near by areas are receiving primary education.

For this project our local partners is an NGO called, Movement for Human Development ( MHD ), based in Lahore. MHD carries out project management with the cooperation of village elders.
