| Welcome to Education Aid
Education Aid is working for the advancement of education in developing countries. It is a registered charity in England, managed by its trustees.
Education Aid has no political affiliation and receives no government support. It is run by voluntary help and donations.
When you hear someone say Educational Poverty it does not sound as bad as suffering from hunger and disease. However in the third world countries the problems of hunger and disease and many more are due to the lack of education in the first place.
One of the primary aim of Education Aid is to achieve maximum literacy among the poorer sections of communities. We generally do this by working with well established and honest local NGO’s in possession of good record of running schools in impoverished areas. This type of funding requires longer term commitment on both sides.
Education Aid have devised a new book program which involves purchasing locally produced, curriculum related or other general interest library books. These are then donated to the deserving schools being run under its literacy program. We believe this kind of activity, where it not only promotes local printing industry, but also encourages local authors to write and produce books suited to prevailing conditions and environment.
